STANFORD, Calif. - Washington State's Jazmine Perkins was perfect from the field en route to scoring 18 points in the Cougars' 100-59 loss to No. 3 Stanford, Thursday at Maples Pavilion.

Perkins point total came on a 7-of-7 shooting performance from the field, the third best-shooting performance in school history. Only Janet Kusler (1979) and Amy Saneholtz (1994) bettered Perkins' effort as each shot a perfect 10-of-10 from the field.

Perkins scored 16 points during the opening 20 minutes to help the Cougars (7-17, 5-7) stay with the third-ranked Cardinal (21-2, 12-0) for the majority of the first half.

Down 26-25, Perkins hit a 3-point field goal to give WSU a 28-26 lead with 6:51 remaining. However, Stanford closed out the half on a 20-4 run to go into the break with a 46-32 lead.

The Cougars return to action at California, Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
