Why I came to WSU: After I had my recruiting trip here I knew it would be a great fit because my high school coach has a similar training philosophy as JD (WSU Head Coach Jason Drake).

Proudest running moment: Senior year I took third at state in cross country. Although it was my best race ever and I'm very proud of it, it was also the most disappointing moment because I was in the lead until the last 100 meters.

What I like about Coach Drake: He lets me do lots of miles.

Pre-race ritual: I listen to my pre-race mix; focus on the race, and think of something that will get me mad - running angry helps.

Favorite place to run: Bellingham (my hometown) has great trails.

What I look forward to in the off season: Long runs.

Closest friend on the team: Alex Grant, we have been running together since high school.

What my goals are for the end of the season: To have my best races at the end of the year - at the pre-national, Pac-10 and regional meets.

Best high school memory: Graduation!

If I could have dinner with three people, living or dead, they would be: Lance Armstrong, John Elway and Arthur Lydiard (famous running coach).

In ten years, I want to be: Either designing Nike shoes or a stay-at-home dad.

Favorite book: Fight Club

Favorite food: Pizza, cereal and peanut butter and honey sandwiches.

Favorite thing to do in Pullman: Run (of course), or watch "Lost" on DVD.

People would be surprised to know that I am: Really superstitious.

Cook or go out to eat: Go out to eat.

Music: Depends on what mood I'm in.

Coolest place I've traveled: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Least successful attempt at a sport: Playing basketball for a year in elementary school

Who inspires you the most: Lance Armstrong

Favorite female celebrity: Rachel Bilson ("Summer" on the O.C.)

TV show I can't miss: The O.C.

Favorite movies: Fight Club, Primal Fear and Forrest Gump

Family member I'm closest to: My mom, she's a runner too so we always talk about running.

If I won a million dollars I would: Try to not work- run, sleep and eat.

Best Halloween costume I've had: Raphael from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Best subject in school: Math

Class I dread: Spanish

Nickname: "The Fav" and "So-so."

Best advice you've ever received: Before a race once in high school an assistant coach told me: "Don't let some bastard with natural talent beat you."

Describe yourself in one word: Awesome
