SAMMAMISH, Wash. - Juniors Ana Kostina and Stephanie Parsley are tied for 15th after the first round of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, Monday.

Kostina and Parsley each shot 76 (+4) at the Sahalee Golf and Country Club at Sammamish, Wash. The two are only one stroke back of the top-10, and six strokes back of leader Karin Sjodin from Oklahoma State.

Senior two-time All-American Kim Welch is tied for 25th after shooting 78 (+6).

As a team the Cougars are tied for sixth with host team and No. 2 ranked Washington. The Cougars are four strokes ahead of No. 22 Brigham Young, and 10 strokes ahead of No.21 California. Rankings are according to Golfweek's women's team ratings.

Jay-Lee Longbottom shot 80 (+8), and Maria Kostina shot 85 (+13), to round out the scoring for the Cougars.

The second round of play is scheduled to begin at 10:15 a.m., Tuesday.
