Women's Golf Inks Improved Score in Second Round of Pac-10 Tournament

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. - The Washington State University women's golf team carded a second-round total of 309, improving from its first-day total of 313 at the Pacific-10 Conference Championships, Tuesday.

The Cougars were led by senior Tracy Broders and junior Amy Eneroth at the par-71, 6,060-yard Palos Verdes Golf Club. Broders and Eneroth each fired two-day totals of 154 and sit in a tie for 29th heading into the final round of competition. Both competitors are only two strokes from cracking the top 25.

The Cougars combined for a two-day total of 622 and remain in ninth place.

Senior Brooke Henderson moved up five positions in the second round and sits in a tie for 32nd. Henderson ended the day with a total score of 155.

Sophomore Diana Hong shot a 159 and junior Jessica Black finished with 165 to round out the Cougar contingent.

The women are back for final round action beginning at 8 a.m., Wednesday.
