CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Washington State volleyball team took a 31-29, 30-22, 30-26, win over Oregon State for the Cougars' third win in Pacific-10 Conference action, Friday night at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis.
"The team played excellent tonight and did a nice job of executing the scouting report and dissecting the Oregon State defense," WSU Head Coach Brian Heffernan said. "Defensively, we were really able to slow down their key hitters by serving tough and keeping them out of their system all night."
WSU (15-12, 3-10) was led by the 19 kills and .400 hitting percentage of Adetokunbo Faleti. Brittany Johnson was the only other Cougar in double-figure kills with 11. Match-high efforts were had by Cassie Robbins' six blocks and Stephanie Weishaar's 3 aces. Kelly Hyder had 18 digs and Corina Beyer had 46 assists.
Oregon State (3-18, 0-12) was led by the 21 kills and two service ace of Rachel Rourke. Kristin Murray and Jennifer Fitz each had 14 digs for the Beavers. Rourke and Ashley Evans added 10 digs each and Evans had 27 assists.

WSU returns to Pullman for its next match against No. 4 Washington, Friday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. in Bohler Gym.
