Kane'ohe, Oahu - Freshman Mallory Kent concluded her three rounds with a score of 232 to lead Washington State University during play at the 2011 Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational Tuesday, played on the par 72, 6,139-yard Kane'ohe Klipper course.

As a team the Cougars moved up three spots from Monday to finish the 54-hole event in eighth place with a score of 938 (+74). Arizona State won the event with a team score of 887 (+23), followed by Arizona (902) and Notre Dame (904).

Kent shot a 78 (+6) Tuesday to finish the event tied for 26th. Sophomore teammate Emma Betland concluded her three rounds with a 79 and tied for 37th overall at 234.

Senior Allison Travis had the low round of the day for Washington State as she shot a 77, giving her a three-round score of 235, tied for 45th. Travis ended her round with eight consecutive pars. Sophomore Ali Thompson shot an 82 for her final round and finished tied for 56th with a 54-hole total of 237. Junior Kristen Allard shot an 85 Tuesday and ended her tournament tied for 89th at 249.

Playing as an individual was sophomore Ellen Park, who shot an 83 Tuesday, giving her a three-round score of 249, tying for 89th. Sophomore Brenda Jesernig had her best round of the tournament with an 82 Tuesday and finished with a 54-hole total of 256, placing her 100th.

WSU is next in action April 1-3 when it travels to Tempe, Ariz., to participate in the ASU/Ping Invitational.
