WSU VOLLEYBALL TRAVELS TO PLAY DUCKS AND BEAVERS
The Washington State University volleyball team (11-9 overall, 3-7 Pac-12) is on the road for the second consecutive weekend...this is the second meeting between the teams this season but technically not the second half of the conference action for WSU since the Cougs will not play Washington until the last week of the season...Cougars take on No. 18 Oregon (12-6, 5-5) Friday, Oct. 21, at the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene...WSU at Oregon match is the Fox Sports Net Pac-12 national match of the week (delayed broadcast)...shown locally Sunday, Oct. 23 at Noon PT on ROOT Sports NW...Paul Sunderland and Holly McPeak are the announcers...Saturday, Oct. 22, WSU will be at Oregon State (11-9, 3-7), one of WSU's wins this season...both contests will be broadcast live on KQQQ 1150AM radio and on the Cougars All-Access subscription internet connection.

COUGAR COACHING STAFF
First year Head Coach Jen Stinson Greeny (11-9 at WSU, 123-33 in 5-year career) is no stranger to Washington State volleyball...an outstanding student and athlete at WSU, Greeny was an All-Pac-10 player and member of three NCAA teams including the 1996 Elite Eight team...also an assistant coach for three more NCAA appearances including the 2002 Elite Eight team...had highly successful NAIA coaching career at Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) with four-year record of 112-24 (.824)...assistant coaches Pat Stangle (former head coach at Wyoming, former asst. coach at Washington) and Burdette Greeny (former asst. coach at LCSC)...Katie Hinrichs, coordinator of operations (former player at LCSC)...volunteer coach Shannon Wyckoff Hunt was the first WSU player to reach 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career.

REBUILDING THE COUGAR VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM

** Overall record of 11-9 = five more wins than in all of 2010 season
** Pac-12 record of 3-7 = three more wins than in 2010 season
** WSU has losses to nationally-ranked opponents - California (No. 4), UCLA (No. 6), Stanford (No. 7), USC (No. 13), Oregon (No. 15) Or to teams also receiving votes in AVCA Top 25 Poll = Texas A&M, Arizona
** 2011 Cougars = 1 senior, four returning letterwinners, 11 newcomers,only one player on 2011 team recruited by Greeny
** Senior Meagan Ganzer leads Pac-12/ 5th nationally with 4.87 kills per set  and leads Pac-12 with 5.45 points per set/5th nationally.

COUGS WAVE PINK & A-B-C CAMPAIGN FOR BREAST CANCER
The Cougars wore pink uniforms Oct. 8 for the Colorado match as part of the WSU COUGS WAVE PINK campaign...for the 10th consecutive year, the WSU women's volleyball team are conducting the Attacking Breast Cancer (ABC) campaign to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Support Group of the Palouse, known as the Bosom Buddies...WSU volleyball program has donated more than $12,418 to date for educational programs...to donate online, go to wsucougars.com, click on Cougs Wave Pink rotating banner.
