PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State senior Carmen Anderson has been named to the 2005 West Region third team by Soccer Buzz Magazine. Anderson adds the honor to her postseason accolades after also being named to the Pacific-10 All-Conference second team in November.

"We are not surprised Carmen continues to get recognition for an outstanding season and contribution to her team," said WSU Head Soccer Coach Matt Potter. "Her best efforts and daily commitment have once again been rewarded. We continue to be proud of both Carmen and all her teammate's dedication and efforts."

Anderson led the Cougars in 2005 with seven goals, four assists and 16 points. The Kennewick, Wash., native netted two game-winners this season and recorded her first multiple-goal match with a two-goal performance in the Cougars' 2-1 win over No. 19 Arizona Oct. 16.

The 2005 co-captain is a three-time Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention honoree and finished her WSU career with 10 goals, four assists and 24 points in 40 starts in the Cougar midfield and defense.

The Cougars finished tied for fifth in the Pac-10 with an 11-7-2 overall record and 4-4-1 in conference play.
