LJUBLJANA, Slovenia - Former Washington State women's basketball center Keisha Moore will continue her playing career with the Ljubljana ILIRIJA club, a premier team in the Slovenian women's basketball 1A league.
"The opportunity to play professionally says a lot about Keisha and the commitment she made throughout her college career," said WSU Head Women's Basketball Coach Sherri Murrell. "She worked really hard to become the player she is and I couldn't be happier to see her continue on professionally."
The two-year letterwinner finished her senior year (2005-06) with a team leading 11.4 scoring average while ranking sixth in the Pacific-10 Conference in blocked shots (1.27), tied for eighth in rebounding (6.8) and ranked 10th in free throw percentage (.767). Moore recorded 15 double-digit scoring efforts last year highlighted by a 28-point, 12-rebound performance against Arizona Jan. 28, 2006.
The Riverside, Calif., native left her mark in the Cougar record books, ranking fifth in blocked shots (59) and 10th in free throw percentage (.724) on the WSU all-time lists. Moore finished her Washington State career with 456 points (9.7/game), 60 blocked shots and 303 (6.8/game) total rebounds.
