COUGAR VOLLEYBALL TEAM OPENS PAC-12 COMPETITION AT HOME
The Washington State University volleyball team (8-2) is coming off another successful weekend of play...Cougars won the Nike Cougar Challenge with wins over Manhattan College (3-0), San Francisco (3-2) and Sam Houston State (3-1)...this weekend WSU begins the Pac-12 schedule hosting No. 6 UCLA (7-1, 1-0) Friday night, Sept. 16, and No. 13 USC (5-3, 0-1) Saturday night, Sept. 17...these will be the first nationally ranked teams the 2011 Cougars have faced...Frugal Faculty/Staff Friday will feature $2 admission to all WSU faculty and staff showing university identification cards...all WSU volleyball home matches are webcast live by subscription on Cougars All-Access.

COUGAR COACHING STAFF
First year Head Coach Jen Stinson Greeny (8-2 at WSU, 120-26 career) is no stranger to Washington State volleyball...an outstanding student and athlete at WSU, Greeny was an All-Pac-10 player and member of three NCAA teams including the 1996 Elite Eight team...also an assistant coach for three more NCAA appearances including the 2002 Elite Eight team...had highly successful NAIA coaching career at Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) with four-year record of 112-24 (.824)...assistant coaches Pat Stangle (former head coach at Wyoming, former asst. coach at Washington) and Burdette Greeny (former asst. coach at LCSC)...Katie Hinrichs, coordinator of operations (former player at LCSC)...volunteer coach Shannon Wyckoff Hunt was the first WSU player to reach 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career.

COUGAR ALL-ACCESS: WSU VOLLEYBALL WEBCASTS
WSU volleyball's 14 home matches will have live-streaming webcasts in 2011 on wsucougars.com via Cougar All-Access, a subscription-based service...12 of the home matches will be single-camera video with natural sound audio, while the 10/7 Utah and 10/8 Colorado matches will be multi-camera productions with exclusive audio play-by-play and color commentary from student broadcast majors from the renowned Edward R. Murrow College of Communication...Cougar All-Access subscribers will also be able to hear the radio broadcasts of all Cougar road matches online.

COUGAR LITTLE SPIKERS PROGRAM
The Cougar Volleyball program will be conducting four Little Spikers volleyball clinics, a series of one-hour volleyball participation clinics for children ages 6 through 12 years, conducted by the WSU coaches and players...the clinics will run from 10 to 11 a.m. in Bohler Gym Sept. 17, Oct. 1, Oct. 8 and Oct. 29...a fun atmosphere will be provided for learning the basics of volleyball using a special lightweight ball...a $20 registration fee covers the four Saturday clinics, a Little Spikers T-shirt, and membership card giving free admission to all home Pac-12 matches... to register or receive more information, call the Cougar Volleyball Office at 509-335-7169.
