Washington State vs. IPFW - Nov. 19, 2009 - Pullman, Wash.
(Friel Court)
Final Score: WSU 89, IPFW 70

WSU Head Coach Ken Bone
On Klay Thompson's play...
"When he shot it, it seemed like the hoop was five feet in diameter, they were just dropping in. The one in the deep corner as the shot clock was going down was just an example of what he was feeling tonight. Anything he was going to put up was going to go in. He put on a show and hopefully it is not the last time he does it."

On scoring...
"(It) makes the game easier, especially when they are threes. I liked the way our team played together as a unit."

Freshman Guard Reggie Moore
On the game...
"It was a good game, especially with Klay's 37, that was huge. Watching him do that is sort of like watching history in the making. It's just great to play with a player like that. He was in the zone from the get go, it's great to have a guy like that. You just pass him the ball and get out of the way."

On what has happened with this team...
"Yeah, I love the flow of this team. Everyone has come in and has learned a new system. Of course we have our ups and downs, today was an up."

On the opportunity to change roles if you want to...
"It depends on how the game goes. Klay was kind of off the other night (Monday) so I had to come in and score a little more to keep the team going. Today he was on, I just had to distribute. I didn't even need to score."

Freshman Guard Xavier Thames
On coming off the bench...
"I just come in and bring energy off the bench and start pushing the ball more. Getting my teammates the ball is good."

On playing with Klay Thompson...
"I knew he could shoot it and that he was working all summer. I think he's pretty impressive. We tried to get him 40 but he wouldn't shoot the three at the end."

On Reggie Moore...
"He is a good player, I like playing with him a lot. He makes his teammates better and scores."

Sophomore Guard Klay Thompson
On the game...
"It felt really good, I've never shot that well in a game this year or last year. I've got to give a lot of credit to my teammates because they got me the ball and got me the ball when I was open. Most importantly we got the win."

"I'm working on my post game a lot especially since they had a smaller guard on me. He was a good defender, he was on me the whole game. I was trying to work on my post game."

On the flow tonight...
"After my second turnaround shot on the post, (that) really got me going, it was a difficult shot. I felt really great after that and they just started falling."
