PULLMAN, Wash. --- The Washington State soccer program will begin its spring schedule Saturday by taking part in the Blue Mountain Exchange, competing in a pair of matches against Boise State and Gonzaga
"We are excited to be part of a local community event and we hope people will come out and watch," WSU Head Coach Matt Potter said. "We are excited to get on the field and play again and hopefully we will pick up where we left off last year. It will be important for us to see who steps up on this team in terms of leadership after losing six seniors last fall."
The Cougars open the Saturday double-header against Boise State at 11 a.m. The match will be played at Walla Walla Community College. WSU then moves to Whitman College to take on Gonzaga at 5 p.m.
WSU is coming off an 8-7-4 record in 2004, including four victories over top 25 teams.
