WSU AT THE VANDAL INDOOR MEET: The 23rd Annual Vandal Indoor Invitational Indoor Meet features the area's best track athletes in limited-event formatthe Friday meet begins with 60m trials and men's 35# weight throw at 6:30 p.mSaturday's McDonald's II Open brings hundreds of high school and collegiate athletes to the Kibbie Domethe following is a tentative list of the Washington State Vandal Indoor entries:

ABOUT THE COUGAR COACHES: Head coach Rick Sloan is in his 25th season with the Cougar track program (fourth year as a head coach, third year as mentor to the combined men's and women's program)...he is joined by associate coach Lissa Olson, assistant coaches Dr. Li Li, Debra Lombardi, Mark Macdonald, and Rohan Walker...WSU's volunteer assistant coaches are Jason Wiens, Robyn Bryson and Dan O'Brien.

NOTEWORTHY: Cougar junior thrower Ian Waltz (Post Falls, Id.) travels to Colorado Springs, Colo., to compete in the shot put at the Colorado Springs Sprint Classic Meet, Saturday, Feb. 14Waltz, who's 62-2 1/4 mark is fifth-best in the country to date, will go up against 11th-ranked Kevin Mannon of Wyoming (61-0 3/4) and UCLA's Wade Tift (61-0 1/4) in this mountain meet.
