PULLMAN, Wash - After being pushed back twice during the day, Saturday's baseball game between Washington State University and California has been postponed until Sunday due to snow and rain.
With snow falling Saturday morning, the scheduled noon start was pushed back to 4 p.m. With more rain approaching, the start was moved back again to 6 p.m. in the hopes of getting the game played Saturday evening. Weather forecasts showed rain expected throughout the evening and the decision was made to postpone the game until Sunday. First pitch is now scheduled for noon.
Sunday's game marks the finale of the three-game series, with California winning the opener, 9-2, and the Cougars taking a 5-4 victory Friday evening. Washington State enters the contest with a 23-13 record while Cal's record stands at 17-17.
