THIS WEEK: Washington State (1-3-0) faces its first weekend of the season with two road matches visiting both BYU (Friday, Sept. 3, 6 p.m. Pacific) and Weber State (Sunday, Sept. 5, 11 a.m. Pacific)...Cougars are 0-1-0 on the road this season losing 1-0 to then-No. 9 Texas A&M, Aug. 29.

WEEKEND COVERAGE: Live stats for the Washington State-BYU match are available at will be televised on BYUtv which is available on DIRECTV and in Pullman/Moscow on Time Warner Cable...Sunday's match will not have live coverage.

WHAT TIME IS IT?: For the third-straight weekend Washington State will play in a different time zone...Cougars opened the season at home (Pacific), traveled to College Station, Texas (Central) last weekend and will be in the Mountain Time Zone for their upcoming matches against BYU and Weber State.

COUGARS RECEIVING VOTES: Washington State is receiving votes in the Soccer Times poll this week...Cougars were nationally-ranked for each of their first-four matches.

PROGRAM SUCCESS: Washington State has advanced to the last two NCAA Championships, the first time in school history the Cougars have made back-to-back postseason appearances.

SERIES WITH BYU: The series is tied 2-2-1...teams have split two meetings in Provo, Utah with BYU winning 3-0 in 2000 and Washington State posting a 2-1 victory in 2004...last season, BYU took a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute, but Washington State rallied for a 2-1 win at home with Jacquelyn Roth recording an assist on each of the two goals.

SERIES WITH WEBER STATE: Washington State leads 1-0...Sunday's match will be the first between the schools in Ogden, 2009, the Cougars won 4-0 in Pullman, including the first-career goal from defender Ashley Johnson.

COUGARS IN THE BEEHIVE STATE: The upcoming weekend marks the fourth time in school history Washington State will play in Utah, and the third time under Matt Potter...Cougars have split two matches during each of their three previous 2000 and 2004, Washington State played road matches against Utah and BYU...Cougars defeated Utah in 2000 and BYU in 2006, Washington State played at Utah and took on Utah State in Salt Lake City for a neutral site match...Cougars lost to the Utes before knocking off the Aggies.

WASHINGTON STATE AWAY FROM HOME: In 2009, Washington State set a school record with eight road victories...over the last six seasons, Washington State is 22-20-6 (.521) in road matches.

COUGARS IN SEPTEMBER: Over the last six seasons, Washington State is 26-11-6 (.674) in matches played during September...Cougars have won at least four matches in September each of those seasons...away from Pullman, Washington State has won 15 times, including seven road victories.

PLAYING THE BEST: Washington State has already faced two nationally-ranked teams in No. 6 Florida State and No. 9 Texas A&M (rankings at time of the match)...Friday's opponent, BYU, is No. 12 in the Soccer America poll and No. 13 according to Soccer Times and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America...BYU is also No. 2 in the NSCAA Pacific Region rankings.
