  • Senior wide receiver Sammy Moore hauled in receptions of 41 and 43 yards, continuing his string of big plays during the 2003 season. Against Notre Dame, Moore caught two touchdown passes, including a 34-yarder in the final minute that sent the game into overtime. Against Colorado, Moore caught a 74- yard touchdown pass and scored on a 97-yard kickoff return.

  • Senior defensive end D.D. Acholonu recorded two sacks Saturday against the Ducks, giving him 20.5 for his career. Acholonu is now tied for third all-time at Washington State in that category, despite not starting until this year.

  • Washington State blocked two punts against Oregon, marking the fourth and fifth blocks the Cougars have recorded on special teams this season. Freshman receiver Cody Boyd blocked a pair of field goal attempts against Idaho, while junior defensive tackle Steve Cook batted down a point-after attempt at Colorado.

  • Senior kicker Drew Dunning scored 13 points on two field goals and seven successful extra point attempts against Oregon. Dunning now has 282 points on the season, just 36 shy of Jason Hanson's Washington State career record.

  • Washington State's seven interceptions Saturday was the most in a single game in WSU history. The previous record was six which was accomplished three times, against Oregon State in 1989, and Washington in 1945, and Idaho in 1945.

  • Washington State forced nine turnovers against Oregon Saturday, marking the first time since 1976 a Cougar team has accomplished that.

  • Washington State has outscored opponents 55-8 in the first quarter this season.

  • Senior safety Virgil Williams recorded his second touchdown return off of an interception this season. Williams' two touchdown returns sets a WSU single season record and ties the WSU career record.

  • Senior cornerback Jason David broke Washington State's career record for interception return yards with 250. David's 35 yard return Saturday surpassed Rick Reed's previous record of 231 yards. David picked off two passes on the afternoon, giving him 13 in his career and moving him into a tie for third all-time.

  • WSU has turned 14 of opponents' 22 turnovers into 74 points this season. The Cougars have taken the ball away from the opponents 13 times with interceptions and have recovered nine of the opponents' 20 fumbles.

  • Washington State has won 22 straight times when scoring in the third quarter. The last time the Cougars posted a third quarter score and lost was against Washington in 2000.

  • Washington State extended its scoring streak to 212 consecutive Pac-10 games and 219 games overall.

  • Quarterback Matt Kegel tied a career-best with three touchdown passes. Kegel completed 13 of 33 passes for 242 yards, no interceptions...he has not thrown an interception since the fourth quarter at Colorado...he's had two interceptions in the last four games and just one in his last 118 passing attempts since the fourth quarter at Notre Dame

  • The 39 point margin set a record for the most lopsided victory against Oregon in the rivalries' history. The previous high was a 36 point victory in 1977.

  • The 55 points scored by WSU is one point shy of the most points scored by the Cougars against Oregon.

  • In the last two games, WSU has allowed just one run longer than 9 yards, a 12-yard scramble by Oregon QB Kellen Clemens.
