THIS WEEK: Washington State faces is back in the Evergreen State for the first time since the opening weekend of the season...Cougars plays at the Gonzaga Tournament in Spokane...face Denver, Friday at 1 p.m. and Colorado, Sunday at 10 a.m...Washington State is 0-1-0 in neutral site matches this season losing 2-1 to Long Beach State at Texas A&M, Aug. 27.

WHERE IS THE MATCH?: For the fourth-straight weekend, Washington State will play in a different venue...Cougars hosted their first two-games, traveled to College Station, Texas for a pair of games before spending the third weekend at BYU (Provo) and at Weber State (Ogden) in Utah.

PROGRAM SUCCESS: Washington State has advanced to the last two NCAA Championships, the first time in school history the Cougars have made back-to-back postseason appearances.

SERIES WITH DENVER: Washington State is 1-0-1 against the Pioneers...like Friday's meeting, the two previous encounters took place on a neutral field...teams tied 2-2, Sept. 11, 1998 in Logan, Utah...Washington State won 2-0, Aug. 27, 2004 in Missoula, Mont.

SERIES WITH COLORADO: Washington State and Colorado have never met in women's soccer...Buffaloes are a future Pacific-10 Conference opponent for the Cougars.

WASHINGTON STATE AWAY FROM HOME: In 2009, Washington State set a school record with eight road victories...over the last six seasons, Washington State is 23-21-6 (.520) in road matches.

COUGARS IN SEPTEMBER: Over the last seven seasons, Washington State is 27-12-6 (.667) in matches played during September...Cougars have won at least four matches in September each of those seasons...away from Pullman, Washington State has won 16 times, including eight road victories.

PLAYING THE BEST: Washington State has already faced three nationally-ranked teams in No. 6 Florida State, No. 9 Texas A&M and No. 12 BYU (rankings at time of the match)...both Denver (eighth in the South) and Colorado (seventh in the Central) are regionally ranked by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

CASTAIN HAT TRICK: Freshman Micaela Castain recorded the 12th hat trick (third on the road) in Washington State history with three goals in the Cougars' 4-1 victory at Weber State, Sept. 5...fifth Cougar to registered at least three goals in a match and the first since 2001.

BERLINGO AND CASTAIN NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED: Washington State senior goalkeeper Meghan Berlingo and freshman forward Micaela Castain both received a national ranking by TopDrawerSoccer.com over the past couple of weeks...Berlingo was the top goalkeeper in the Pac-10 and the 10th-best keeper overall among upperclassmen...Castain was listed at No. 48 on the site's top 100 freshman watch list.
