PULLMAN, Wash - Washington State University wrapped up spring drills with a two-hour workout on Rogers Field Tuesday afternoon.
The Cougars worked out in shoulder pads and helmets and followed the same format as the past spring practices, opening with individual workouts, combing to work through special teams and 7-vs.-7. They then worked through kickoff coverage, added another individual segment before matching up in team session. The final segment saw the No. 3 offense and defense square off in a "live" team segment.
There were a number of nice plays turned in throughout the day with cornerback Daniel Simmons corralling a tipped pass and dragging a foot inbounds to record an interception along the sideline. The offense received a couple nice plays from Marquess Wilson. Isiah Myers and Bobby Ratliff while the running backs turned in some big gains on screen plays.
The Cougs will continue to work in the weight room and begin off-season conditioning programs before returning to campus for fall camp in August.
