PULLMAN, Wash. - After a week off, the Cougar golf teams will return to action in a pair of tournaments. The Cougar men will travel to Port Orchard, Wash. to play in the Husky Invitational, hosted by the University of Washington. The women will head to Creswell, Ore. to compete in the Oregon Invitational, hosted by the University of Oregon. Both will be played on September 27-28.
The 54-hole Husky Invitational will be played at Trophy Lake Golf and Casting in Port Orchard, Wash. The University of Washington and Pepperdine enter the tournament ranked 14th and 24th in the nation, respectively. California, Fresno State, Hawaii-Hilo, Oregon, Stanford, UC-Irvine, and UCLA round out the ten-team tournament.
Seventeen women's teams, including Washington State, will converge on the Emerald Valley Resort Golf Course for the Oregon Invitational. The host Ducks are ranked 19th in the nation and are coming off of an impressive seventh place finish in the NCAA Fall Preview.
