PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University Women's Basketball Head Coach June Daugherty announced the Cougars will host two practices in Spokane this weekend, each of which will be open to the public.
"We are pleased to bring the Cougar women's basketball team to the wonderful Spokane community this weekend," Daugherty said. "Certainly it is a priority within our program to help the game continue to grow throughout our area."
The Cougars will practice Saturday, Oct. 20, at Mead High School from 12:15-2:15 p.m. WSU's Sunday (Oct. 21) practice site will be held at Spokane Falls Community College and is slated to run from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
"Exhibiting our team practice will be a fun time for our Cougar fans to get a little preview of the upcoming season and learn a lot about the New Championship Era of Cougar women's basketball," Daugherty said. "I look forward to seeing our basketball fans turn out and hope they will enjoy the beginning of the 2007-08 basketball season."
Fans will have their first opportunity to catch the Cougars in action, Nov. 2, in an exhibition game against Southern Oregon at 7 p.m. at Friel Court.
