PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State University baseball team travels to Portland for a nonconference meeting with the Pilots, Tuesday, April 10. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Joe Etzel Field.
For the Cougars (15-13), the game marks the beginning of the second half of their 56-game schedule. It is one of six nonconference contests left on the schedule and the first of two match-ups with the Pilots (19-7). Washington State and Portland will also battle at the Toyota of Tri-Cities Cougar Diamond Classic, May 8 in Pasco.
The Cougars will send right-hander Kyle Swannack to the mound. The junior is 2-3 this season in nine appearances, including eight starts. Swannack will be opposed by Portland righty Matt McCallister (3-1).
