Arizona State&Arizona Preview Get Acrobat Reader

THIS WEEK
After five road matches, Washington State (7-3-1) looks to improve upon its 1-1-1 Pac-12 record in front of a home crowd...Cougars returns to Lower Soccer Field, Friday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. where they will battle Arizona State...WSU then hosts Arizona, Sunday, Oct. 7 at 11 a.m...access live stats for both games at wsucougars.com.

LAST WEEK
Washington State took to the road and split a pair of conference matches...in Salt Lake City, the Cougars could not hold on to the lead and were defeated by Utah 2-1 in overtime...Beau Bremer put the Cougars on the board first but Utah's fight back effort led them to tie the game with 1:35 left in regulation...the Utes seized the win almost eight minutes into the extra period...in Boulder, Colo., WSU downed Colorado 1-0 to pick up its first Pac-12 win this season...Jocelyn Jeffers headed in the game-winner off a Brandi Vega corner kick...the shutout was the Cougars fifth of the season.

WASHINGTON STATE HEAD COACH Keidane McAlpine
Cougar Head Coach Keidane McAlpine is in his first year as head coach at Washington State, and his sixth year overall as a head coach...McAlpine is 7-3-1 in Pullman and 47-51-12 overall.

COUGARS IN THE RANKINGS
Washington State is No. 7 in the NSCAA Pacific Region poll...is No. 34 in the current NCAA RPI.

ABOUT ARIZONA STATE
The Sun Devils are 5-6-1 on the season and 1-2-0 in Pac-12 play...Arizona has out shot their opponents 208-151 this season to date...is averaging 17.3 shots per game...freshman forward Cali Farquharson and junior forward Devin Marshall lead the Sun Devils with six goals apiece.

CLAIR RECEIVES HONOR
Cougar goalkeeper Gurveen Clair was included in the "Best of the Inland Northwest XI" team of the week for the second straight week by Inland Northwest Soccer News.
