PULLMAN, Wash. --- Former Washington State wide receiver Kevin McKenzie earned the Arena Football League's U.S. Army Ironman of the Week award after helping his Colorado Crush team defeat the Los Angeles Avengers 57-55 Saturday.

McKenzie, who scored the first touchdown of the 1998 Rose Bowl against Michigan, hauled in seven passes for 65 yards and three touchdowns. He also recorded four solo tackles and two assists on defense playing against fellow "Fab Five" receiver Chris Jackson of Los Angeles.

McKenzie, a Long Beach, Calif., native, also earned the Ironman award in Week 2 of the AFL season. McKenzie and the Crush, owned by Denver Bronco legend John Elway, face the New York Dragons Sunday on NBC at noon.
