THIS WEEK: Washington State entertains USC in a three-game Pacific-10 Conference series to conclude its regular season, May 21-23...game times are 5:30 p.m., Friday, 2 p.m., Saturday, and noon, Sunday.

WSU ON THE INTERNET: For the latest information about Cougar baseball, log onto the official site of WSU Athletics, www.wsucougars.com...live stats are provided for all Cougar home games and the majority of WSU road games...all Cougar games in Pullman will be available via live video streaming for Cougar All-Access subscribers.

COUGARS ON THE RADIO: The remaining games of the 2008 Washington State baseball season will be broadcast on KQQQ 1150 AM...longtime broadcaster Steve Grubbs provides the play-by-play for the fourth season.

ABOUT THE TROJANS: USC is 27-26 overall, 10-11 in the Pacific-10...tied with Arizona and Washington for fifth place in the conference, one game back of third place California and UCLA and two behind second place Stanford...USC is batting .292 and has a 5.57 earned run average.

SERIES WITH THE TROJANS: USC leads 57-15...Trojans own 22-9 advantage in Pullman...last season, USC won two of three games in Los Angeles...Washington State won two of three meetings the last time the schools met in Pullman (2006).

CONSECUTIVE WINNING SEASONS: With one more win in 2008 Washington State will assure itself of a third-straight winning season, something the Cougars have not accomplished since 1994 when a 35-26 record capped a run of 37-consecutive campaigns with a mark above .500.

MURPHY SETS PAC-10 RECORD: Senior Jim Murphy has been hit by a pitch 20 times this season...career total of 61 is a WSU record and surpassed Pac-10 best mark of 56 by Stanford's Brian Dallimore (1993-96)...tied for 10th in NCAA history.

GRAN ON PACE FOR FIELDING RECORD: Senior Paul Gran is fielding .994 this season, including .992 at third base...has commited only one error and is on pace to set a single-season WSU record for fielding percentage by a third baseman.

MILLER IS CONSISTENT: Senior left-hander Jayson Miller has pitched at least six innings in each of his 13 starts and owns a 7-1 record with a 4.30 ERA...first WSU pitcher since Aaron Sele (15-straight) in 1990 to log at least six innings in 13-straight starts...Miller goes after his eighth win of the season, Saturday against USC.

SUTTMEIER STAYS HOT: Senior Scott Suttmeier has hit safely in 26 of his last 28 games and raised his average from .226 to .333 during that span.

GOODBYE SENIORS: Nine Cougar seniors will make their final appearance in a WSU uniform, Sunday against USC: Andrew Davis (Seattle), Paul Gran (Bothell), Garrett Kimbrel (Renton), Steve Kost (Bellevue), Jayson Miller (Richland), Jim Murphy (Kirkland), Simi Reynolds (Renton), Scott Suttmeier (Issaquah) and Tommy Tribbett (Colfax).
