PULLMAN, Wash. - Two of Washington State's women's basketball games will be televised this season as part of the 2007-08 Pacific-10 Conference television package, Pac-10 Conference Commissioner Tom Hansen announced, Thursday.
The package includes the Cougars' game against Washington in Seattle, Feb. 3, and will also include coverage of the 2008 State Farm Pac-10 Women's Basketball Tournament, March 7-10, at HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.
"It is very exciting to have several of our games broadcast on TV for our Cougar fans," WSU Women's Basketball Head Coach June Daugherty said. "We are proud to show off our new, state of the art basketball floor at Beasley Coliseum with the television exposure of our game versus Washington."
WSU Associate Director of Athletics Pete Isakson also announced Fox Sports Northwest will be televising the Cougars' game against Washington in Pullman, Jan. 4.
"The arrival of June Daugherty at Washington State has people excited about Cougar basketball," Isakson said. "We already have more games on television and have sold more season tickets than we did last year. We are confident that this trend will continue throughout June's tenure."
WSU opens its season against Southern Oregon in an exhibition game at 7 p.m., Nov. 2, at Friel Court.
