This Week: Washington State women's basketball (4-6) heads south to open their Pacific-10 Conference schedule...Cougars face Oregon State (4-3) Thursday, Dec. 21, at 6:30 p.m. at the Beavers' Gill Coliseum...WSU then travels to Eugene for a 5:00 p.m. game against the Oregon Ducks (7-2) Saturday, Dec. 23, at McArthur Court.

Last Time Out: WSU battled the Lady Demons of Northwestern State to a 72-70 overtime victory, Sunday afternoon at Beasley Coliseum...sophomore Ebonee Coates posted six blocks to tie the WSU single-game record...Coates also pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds...Kate Benz recorded her first double-double of the season with 10 points and a season-high 16 rebounds...freshman Nakejia Kelly paced all Cougar scorers with 14 points while fellow freshman Colleen Betteridge recorded 10 points...Cougars entered halftime leading 34-32 after Benz scored on a lay-up with six seconds remaining in the first half...Lady Demons' Chassidy Jones hit a three-point jumper with five seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime...Cougars outscored the Lady Demons 9-7 in overtime to seal the victory...it was the third Cougar victory in the last four games.

Scouting Oregon State: Oregon State Beavers enter Pac-10 play with a 4-3 overall record after losses to Creighton and Drake over the weekend...Casey Nash posted a game-high 17 points Friday against Creighton and turned in 20 points and 10 rebounds at Drake Sunday...Nash is the leading scorer in the Pac-10 with 21.0 ppg and has scored 20-plus points five times this season...also averaging 8.1 rpg and is shooting .567 from the field...freshman Judie Lomax leads the Pac-10 in rebounding with 10.0 rpg...the Beavers are currently riding a four-game home winning streak.

Scouting Oregon: Oregon split its final games of the non-conference schedule...the Ducks defeated Drake 66-63 to post their fifth consecutive win...Missouri State snapped the Ducks' streak by defeating Oregon 71-56...Eleanor Haring recorded double-digit scoring efforts in both games (16 at Drake; 19 at Missouri State)...Haring is the Ducks' top scorer, averaging 13.8 ppg...Cicely Oaks dropped a career-high 21 points at Drake, including a career-high five three-pointers...Jessie Shetters is averaging 9.1 rebounds per game and has a team-leading 17 blocks on the season.
