STANFORD, Calif. - Sophomore Emma Betland fired her best round of the tournament Sunday to lead Washington State University women's golf team during the final day of play at the 2010 Pac-10 - SEC Challenge, competed on the par 71, 6,148-yard Stanford Golf Course.

The Cougars finished the event in 21st place following a final-round 322 (+38). No. 5 UCLA won the tournament by 11 strokes over No. 3 Alabama as it finished the three-day tournament at 856 (+4). The tournament featured 17 teams ranked among the top 36 nationally, including each of the top five.

Betland shot a final-round 78 (+7) to finish the three-day tournament at 239 (+26) and in a tie for 85th. Junior Kristen Allard finished as the top Cougars as she tied for 85th at 235 (+22) after a final round 82 (+11).

Sophomore Ellen Park fired a final-round 81 (+10) to finish at 240 (+27) and in a tie for 97th. Freshman Mallory Kent matched Park's final round score as she shot an 81 and ended the event in 99th place at 242 (+29). Sophomore Ali Thompson struggled in the final round as she shot an 87 (+16). Her three-day total of 243 placed her in a tie for 100th.

The tournament concluded fall play for the Cougars.
