PULLMAN, Wash. - All three Washington State goals, including two by junior Amy Chippendale, came by way of headers as the Cougars ran their winning streak to five in a row with a 3-1 Pacific-10 Conference win over visiting Oregon Sunday afternoon.

Five consecutive victories for WSU (7-4-0 overall, 2-0-0 Pacific-10) is the longest streak since the Cougars won 10 straight between the 1990 and 1991 seasons. The Ducks (3-9-1 overall, 0-2-0 Pacific-10) are winless in their last eight matches.

Chippendale (Kearny, N.J.) earned her second multiple-goal match of the season and third of her career. Her first goal, the game winner in the 32nd minute, came off a corner kick. Freshman Deka DeWitt (Auburn, Wash.), who assisted two WSU goals, fired a ball to the left post. Freshman Karli Silveira (Campbell, Calif.) flicked the ball to the far post and Chippendale redirected the ball with her head to give WSU a 2-0 halftime lead.

WSU's final goal came 34 seconds into the second half as junior Randi Glas (Grand Forks, N.D.) crossed the ball to the front of the goal mouth, where Chippendale jumped up and headed the ball past Oregon keeper Amanda Fox.

Silveira put WSU ahead in the 13th minute as she bounced a header by Fox.

Oregon's only score came from an own goal by the Cougars in the 87th minute. Deka DeWitt tried to clear the ball from the box with her head, but the ball bounced off reserve Jen Croft (Burke, Va.) and past WSU senior goalkeeper Tammy Cotie (Tacoma, Wash.).

Cotie started at goalkeeper in her first appearance since 1995. She finished with four saves.
