PULLMAN, Wash. - There will be a new look to the Washington State University football team this the fall, but that isn't the only aspect of Cougar football that will experience some changes when the season gets underway.

Recreational vehicle parking at home games has also been modified from last year. In the past, the South Beasley Coliseum lot has been designated as an RV lot open on a first-come, first-serve basis.

This year the Beasley Coliseum lot will be reserved exclusively for fans who purchase an RV parking pass. Season passes are $200 each, with donors to the WSU Athletic Foundation receiving first priority. Non donors to the WSUAF may also apply for season RV parking passes and if spaces are available after filling all donor requests, they will be eligible to purchase a pass through a random drawing.

The Beasley Coliseum RV lot is located between Beasley Coliseum and the WSU tennis courts adjacent to Stadium Way.

"Most of the changes made were in response to feedback we received last year from our fans who use the lot," according to John David Wicker, WSU's director of event services. "Overcrowding and the need to arrive mid-week just to hold a spot were among the issues raised by many who responded to our survey."

If the sale of season passes does not fill the lot, single game RV parking permits will then be available for $75 per game, on a first come, first serve basis. All fans interested in single game passes may check with the WSUAF office the week of a home game, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., to find out if parking spots are available.

WSU officials stress that Athletic Foundation parking passes marked AA, A, B or C will not be valid in the RV lot this fall.

Fans who qualify and are interested in acquiring a RV parking permit must fill out an RV Parking Pass Request Form and return it to the Athletic Foundation office by Aug. 15. The form is available on line at http://www.wsu.edu/parking/wsuaf_rv.pdf, or by calling the Athletic Foundation office, 509-335-0220.

Cougar fans with permits may begin parking their vehicles after 5 p.m. each Thursday before a home game. University officials have indicated anyone parking in the lot before 5 p.m. Thursday will be asked to move their vehicle, or be cited for failure to do so.

Recreation vehicles with permits will be required to park in the minimum number of spaces that will be taken up by the vehicle and an extended awning. Additional parking spaces will not be made available for tents, build-outs or cooking areas.

Athletic Foundation officials have indicated additional RV parking spaces are available behind the WSU Indoor Practice Facility and in a lot across from the South Fairway Playfield. Parking in those areas is available to all Cougar fans for $20 per game.

Alternative non-reserved RV parking is also available at no charge at the Feed Plant lot on Grimes Way and east of the Cooper Publications Building on Wilson Road.

No recreational vehicle hookups (electricity, water, sewer) are available in the Beasley lot. Tow vehicles will be admitted to the lot free of charge, providing the parking pass application includes appropriate information on the tow vehicle. Only one tow vehicle per applicant will be approved.

Additional information on RV parking for WSU football games and other Athletic Donor parking is available from the university's web site, http://www.wsu.edu/parking/gameday.html.
