ORO VALLEY, Ariz.- Freshman Kristen Rue shot a 2-over 74 to lead Washington State University during final-round play Tuesday at the 2012 Wildcat Invitational.

Rue recorded three birdies and one eagle in the third round for WSU's lowest round score of the tournament. Rue finished tied for 26th with a total of 229 (+13).

As a team the Cougars shot a final-round 323 (+35) to finish in 11th place with a 948 (+84). Tournament host Arizona won the tournament with a 13-under 851 overall score.

Junior Mallory Kent recorded an 81 (+9) in the final round to finish with a 239 (+23). Senior Kristen Allard and junior Emma Betland each posted an 84 (+12). Allard finished the tournament with a 238 (+22) and Betland with 242 (+26).

Freshman Beau Bremer posted a 90 (+18) for the final round, and finished the tournament at 256 (+40).

Playing as an individual for the Cougars, junior Ellen Park scored an 88 (+16) in the third round, recording a 246 (+40) overall.

WSU will return to the course Feb. 26-27 for the Westbrook Spring Invitational in Peoria, Ariz.
