PULLMAN, Wash. - Five Washington State University women's basketball players have earned Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic accolades, the conference office announced. Rosie Tarnowski paced the WSU selections by being placed on the second team after earning a 3.47 overall GPA while majoring in education.
Lexie Pettersen, Katie Grad, Carly Noyes and Ireti Amojo each received Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention. It is the second career academic honors for Tarnowski, Grad and Petterson who all received the same recognition last season. The five selections are a program-best during Cougar head coach June Daugherty's four seasons at WSU and are the second most in the conference this year, behind Stanford University's seven.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 grade-point-average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
