PULLMAN, Wash. --- Washington State will be represented by four departing seniors in a pair of all-star bowl games in the next 10 days.
All-Pacific-10 offensive tackle Calvin Armstrong and cornerback Karl Paymah will compete this Saturday, Jan. 15 in the 80th annual East-West Shrine Game at SBC Park in San Francisco. The contest will be televised nationally on ESPN at 11 a.m. Both players will don the same jersey number they did as Cougars, with Armstrong wearing No. 67 and Paymah sporting No. 15 as members of the West squad.
Safety Hamza Abdullah and running back Chris Bruhn will take part in the 59th annual Hula Bowl Saturday, Jan. 22 in Maui. Both players will be members of the West squad. The game will kickoff at 4 p.m. and be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
