Washington State soccer (8-4-1, 2-2-1 Pac-12)) holds its annual Cougs Wave Pink match at Lower Soccer Field, Friday, Oct. 12, where it will host conference foe USC...match is slated to begin at 1 p.m...game will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks...marks the fifth time this season a Cougar soccer game has been featured on the Pac-12 Networks...live stats can be accessed at wsucougars.com.

LAST WEEK
Washington State split a pair of Pac-12 home matches...Arizona State defeated the Cougars 1-0...Arizona State's goal was the first by a Washington state opponent at Lower Soccer Field in 666.7...WSU's streak of seven straight shutouts was broken...WSU fared better against Arizona, downing the Wildcats 3-0 and recording its sixth shutout of the season...senior defender Zoe Jeffers picked up her first career goal and assist...senior Brandi Vega and junior Rachael Doyle contributed the other two Washington State goals, tallying their fifth and second goals of the season, respectively.

WASHINGTON STATE HEAD COACH Keidane McAlpine
Cougar Head Coach Keidane McAlpine is in his first year as head coach at Washington State, and his sixth year overall as a head coach...McAlpine is 8-4-1 in Pullman and 48-52-12 overall.

COUGARS IN THE RANKINGS
Washington State is No. 7 in the NSCAA Pacific Region poll...is No. 47 in the current NCAA RPI.

ABOUT USC
The Trojans are 4-6-3 overall and 1-2-2 in Pac-12 play...USC has out shot their opponents 249-202 this season to date...leading up to Friday's game, the Trojans have seen overtime periods for five straight matches...are winless in their last four bouts.

SERIES WITH THE TROJANS
USC leads 9-5-3 all time, although Washington State has a record of 4-1-1 when the teams play in Pullman...last year in Los Angeles, freshman Jocelyn Jeffers scored in the 86th minute to give Washington State a 2-1 victory.

Junior Micaela Castain and senior Brandi Vega continue to rank among the statistical leaders in the Pac-12 Conference...Castain is tied for second in in goals (8), game-winning goals (4) and goals per game (0.62)...is ranked fourth in points per game (1.31)...and is tied for fourth in points (17)...Vega is ranked ninth in shots (39) and shots per game (3.00)...she is also tied for 10th in points per game (1.00)...redshirt-junior Kayla Johnson is currently 10th in assists per game (0.30).
