CORVALLIS, Ore. --- Washington State (7-6-3, 2-3-1) launched 10 shots at Oregon State (8-7-0, 2-3-0) goalkeeper Melissa Onstad Sunday, but it was Jodie Taylor's shot at the 25:55 mark of the first half that made the difference in a 1-0 Beaver victory.

Taylor snuck the shot past Cougar goalkeeper Katie Hultin in the upper right corner from 15 yards out. It was Taylor's 14th goal of the season. Washington State outshot the host Beavers 10-3.

Freshman Brooke Bemis led the offensive charge for WSU, registering four shots, including three on goal. Shaye Harrel and Angela Fajardo had two shots each.

Hultin, who earned Pac-10 Player of the Week honors for her efforts against UCLA and USC last week, made one save and played all 90 minutes in goal.

The Cougars will play their final three matches of the season at home, beginning with Washington Friday, Oct. 29. WSU hosts California and Stanford the following weekend to end the regular season.
