Pullman, Wash.--- For the second consecutive year, the GTE Academic All-America Team has selected a Washington State golfer. Redshirt sophomore Roger Flynn (Boise, Idaho) is the latest Cougar golfer to earn that honor.

Flynn, who carries a 4.00 GPA in Mechanical Engineering, was one of 20 student-athletes selected from Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and British Columbia for the District VIII team. The Idaho native was one of only four on the All-American squad with a 4.00 GPA.

Washington State led District VIII with three student-athletes making the team. Track & field's Eric Dudley and B.J. Schade were also selected as All-Americans.
