Junior Dustin White (Pueblo West, Colo.) recorded his fourth top 10 finish of the fall season with a fifth place effort at the Pacific Invitational, Tuesday.

Playing at the par 72, 7,000 yard The Reserve at Spanos Park Golf Course, White posted a 54-hole total of 215 (-1) to finish in a three-way tie for fifth, four shots back of tournament champion Troy McKinley of Pacific (211, -4).

With his top five effort, White has finished in the top 10 in four of the five tournaments he has competed in this fall. White just missed cracking the top 10 with his 11th place effort at the Vandal Fall Invitational, Sept. 25.

Senior Jon Reehoorn (Burlington, Wash.) posted his 20th career top 25 finish with his tie for 17th. Reehoorn shot rounds of 76-69-75 to post a score of 220 (+4) to place in the top 25 for the fourth time this fall. Reehoorn only trails Chris Jorgensen (1992-94) on the school record list in that category. Jorgensen recorded 25 career top 25 finishes at WSU.

As a team, the Cougars posted a three-round score of 881 to finish in sixth place. WSU placed ahead of its two Pacific-10 rivals in the tournament besting UCLA by four strokes and California by six. Fresno State captured the team title with a score of 869.

WSU concludes its fall schedule Nov. 5-6 at the San Diego State Aztec Invitational at San Diego, Calif.
