PULLMAN, Wash. - Sophomore goalkeeper Lindsey Jorgensen (North Bend, Wash.) passed Jessica Glazer for the top spot in the WSU record books after shutting out UC Irvine 2-0 Sunday for her 11th career shutout.

"I'm really pleased for her and for the defense ahead of her," said WSU head coach Dan Tobias. "It is impressive for somebody who is only 10 games into her sophomore season."

Jorgensen has recorded the 11 shutouts in only 29 games. Five of the six wins for WSU this year have come on a Jorgensen shutout. She also had five shutouts last season, highlighted by a 2-0 shutout over Pac-10 champs USC and a 1-0 shutout of Washington, who was leading the conference at the time.

Jorgensen notes

  • Third-ranked goalie in WSU history with 2741 minutes played.
  • Carries a 1.44 GAA this season, 1.64 for her career.
