LOS ANGELES, Calif. - - Washington State's Bianca McCall recorded her eighth game of scoring in double figures with 15 points in the Cougars' 93-51 loss to the UCLA Bruins in Pacific-10 Conference women's basketball action, Sunday at Pauley Pavilion.
UCLA improved its record to 9-4 overall and 4-0 in the Pac-10 while WSU dropped to 0-11 overall and 0-3 in conference play. Michelle Greco scored a game-high 23 points to lead a contingent of three UCLA players in double figures.
After UCLA began the game with four consecutive points WSU responded with five straight points of its own to take a 5-4 lead at the 16:55 mark. A Jami Clevenger trey followed by a Candace Fields bucket accounted for the points in the WSU run.
UCLA outscored WSU 30-4 over the next eight minutes to take a 34-9 lead with 9:50 remaining. The Bruins would build their advantage to 53-20 at the end of the first half.
WSU returns home to Friel Court to face Arizona, Thursday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m.
