FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Washington State Sophomore Kim Welch sits in third place after two rounds Monday at the Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic at Fort Collins, Colo.

Welch, a native of Sacramento, Calif., fired a 2-under 70 in the first round, and than torched the Ptarmigan Country Club for the second best round of the day with a 3-under 69.
