COUGAR VOLLEYBALL TO TAKE ON TOP-RANKED BAY TEAMS
The Washington State University volleyball team (11-7 overall, 3-5 Pac-12) hits the road for the next two weekends stopping first in the San Francisco Bay area to meet No. 7 Stanford (12-3, 6-3) Fri., Oct. 14 at Maples Pavilion, and No. 4 California (17-2, 7-2) Sat., Oct. 15 at Haas Pavilion...both matche begin at 7 p.m. and both will be broadcast live on KQQQ 1150AM radio and on the Cougars All-Access subscription internet connection.

COUGS WAVE PINK & A-B-C CAMPAIGN FOR BREAST CANCER
The Cougars wore special pink uniforms Oct. 8 for the Colorado match as part of the WSU COUGS WAVE PINK campaign...for the 10th consecutive year, the Washington State women's volleyball team will conduct the Attacking Breast Cancer (ABC) Pledge Drive to raise fund for the Breast Cancer Support Group of the Palouse, known as the Bosom Buddies...Cougar volleyball program has raised more than $12,418 donated to Breast Cancer Support Group of the Palouse and its educational programs...to donate online, go to wsucougars.com and click on the Cougs Wave Pink rotating banner in the middle of the front page.

COUGAR COACHING STAFF
First year Head Coach Jen Stinson Greeny (11-7 at WSU, 123-31 in 5-year career) is no stranger to Washington State volleyball...an outstanding student and athlete at WSU, Greeny was an All-Pac-10 player and member of three NCAA teams including the 1996 Elite Eight team...also an assistant coach for three more NCAA appearances including the 2002 Elite Eight team...had highly successful NAIA coaching career at Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) with four-year record of 112-24 (.824)...assistant coaches Pat Stangle (former head coach at Wyoming, former asst. coach at Washington) and Burdette Greeny (former asst. coach at LCSC)...Katie Hinrichs, coordinator of operations (former player at LCSC)...volunteer coach Shannon Wyckoff Hunt was the first WSU player to reach 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career.

REBUILDING THE COUGAR VOLLEYBALL PROGRAM

**Overall record of 11-7 = five more wins than in all of 2010
**Pac-12 record of 3-5
**WSU has losses to nationally-ranked opponents - UCLA (No. 6), USC (No. 13), Oregon (No. 15) Or to teams also receiving votes in AVCA Top 25 Poll = Texas A&M, Arizona
**2011 Cougars = 1 senior, four returning letterwinners, 11 newcomers, Only one player on 2011 team recruited by Greeny
**Senior Meagan Ganzer leads Pac-12/ 4th nationally with 4.97 kills per set  and leads Pac-12 with 5.57 pps/5th nationally.
