PULLMAN - The Washington State volleyball team, under the direction of Head Coach Jen Greeny, completed a highly successful spring tournament season, winning 23 of the 25 sets played.
The Cougars completed the spring season April 28 with a 25-18, 25-12, 25-20 win over Idaho on WSU's home court of Bohler Gym.
Jaicee Harris, a 5-11 outside hitter (Chelan, Wash.) led the team in the spring season competition with a 2.8 kills per set average. Marcelina Glab, a 6-2 middle hitter (Watertown, South Dakota) added 2.2 kps and 6-2 senior right side hitter Rachel Todorovich contributed another 2.13 kps.
"We were very pleased with the progress of the team this spring, both on the court and in the weight room," Greeny said. "The team worked extremely hard and made great strides in our system, which was fun to see. After having only a couple of weeks to put a team together last fall, this spring was a great time of growth and we are looking forward to starting practice again in August."
