CARSON CITY, Nev. - Sophomores Jon Reehoorn (Burlington, Wash.) and Matt McGeeney (San Pedro, Calif.) tied for 21st and lead Washington State to fifth place overall in the 23rd annual Wolf Pack Classic, played on the par-71 course at Silver Lake Golf and Country Club.

Reehoorn (71-77-71--219) responded to a disappointing second round by firing an even-par 71 in the third. For the second time in the tournament, McGeeney (74-73-72--219) shot a career-low, carding a final day 72. Jeremy Taylor (West Richland, Wash.) fired rounds of 73-76-72 for a three-day total of 221, good for 33rd. Senior Eric Toomey (Snohomish, Wash.) tied his season-best by shooting an even-par on Tuesday.

Portland's Ryan Nelson (69-69-72--210) won the individual title with a birdie on the fourth hole of a sudden-death playoff with Utah's Shawn Edwards (71-72-67). Long Beach State's Brian Merrick (70-72-70--212) finished third and was the only other golfer to finish under par.

Four Fresno State golfers finished in the top 10, leading the Bulldogs to the team title. Portland finished second, six strokes off the pace. Long Beach State, host Nevada, and Washington State rounded out the top five.
