The Washington State University women's basketball team (1-1) hosts Montana State University (2-1) in the team's first home game of the 2008-09 season Sunday at Friel Court. Tip-off against the Bobcats is slated for 3 p.m.

WSU notched its first win of the season, knocking off previously unbeaten Boise State 85-76, and ending the Broncos' school-record 19-game home winning streak Nov. 20 at Taco Bell Arena. The Broncos' home winning streak was the sixth-longest in the nation.
The 85 points scored by WSU was the most since scoring 93 against Arizona Feb. 10, 2001. The scoring output was also the most on the road since Nov. 21, 1998 - one day shy of a decade - when WSU scored 88 points against Vermont in the Howard Bank Classic in Burlington, Vt.
The Cougars and Bobcats have faced each other 27 times on the hardwood, with the Cougars holding a slight 14-13 edge. Montana State has won each of the last four meetings, with WSU's last victory coming Dec. 2, 1989 in Pullman. The Cougars are 7-5 at home.
