"We played well enough to win tonight," WSU Head Coach Brian Heffernan said. "We had too high of errors on our side. I was encouraged a little by our performance from the service line and making some defensive adjustments to take away some of Arizona's off-speed. And then on our side offensively, we used some off-speeds to make Arizona more accountable than just going up and hitting it hard."
Washington State travels to Tempe to take on Arizona State (10-9, 2-6) Friday night at the Wells Fargo Arena.
