Cougar Women Travel to Bruin/Wave Invitational

This Week: The women's golf team will compete in the Bruin/Wave Invitational March 5-6 in Tarzana, Calif., hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine University. The three-round tournament will have thirty-six holes played Monday starting at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. The final round will be played Monday, beginning at 7:30 a.m.

The Course: The tournament will be held at the El Cabellero Country Club, at 6,131 yards and a par 72.

The Field (GolfStat Rankings): In addition to WSU, participating teams include hosts (1) UCLA and (22) Pepperdine, BYU, CSU Northridge, Long Beach State, (46) New Mexico, New Mexico State, (8) Oklahoma State, (49) Oregon State, (42) San Diego State, Sonoma State, (44) Stanford, UNLV, and Wisconsin.

Last Time Out: WSU finished in third place at the Westbrook Spring Invitational. Three Cougars finished in the top 25; Kristen Rue in fifth, Kristen Allard tied for seventh, and Mallory Kent tied for 16th. The team also posted their lowest round score of the season, a 287 (-1) in the final round.

Next Up: The Cougar Women will travel to Oahu, Hawaii for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational March 13-14, hosted by the University of Hawaii.
