LeRoy Records 57th Place Finish At NCAA Swim Meet

AUSTIN, Texas.-- Andree-Anne LeRoy opened up the NCAA Women's Swimming Championships for Washington State with a 57th-place finish Thursday in the 200 individual medley.

LeRoy, a sophomore from Nanaimo, British Columbia clocked a time of 2:04.76, more than two seconds off her best of 2:02.75, which is a Washington State record. She entered the meet with the 28th best 200 individual medley time in the NCAA.

The NCAA Championships will continue Friday for LeRoy with the 400 individual medley, another event in which she holds the school record. Cougar sophomore Rachel Dong will also compete in the 100 breaststroke and 100 butterfly, Friday. LeRoy will conclude the Championships with the 200 backstroke, Saturday.
