RENO, Nev.-- Senior Ping Luo's three wins led the University of Nevada women's swim team over Washington State University 150.5-111.5 Friday.

WSU Freshman Taryn Ternent, from Edenvale, South Africa, won three events in the meet. Ternent claimed victory for the Cougars in the 50 and 100 freestyle with times of 24.12 and 52.88 seconds respectively, as well as the 100 backstroke in 58.33 seconds.

Also swimming well for the Cougars, freshman Andree-Anne LeRoy (Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada) won the 200 individual medley in a time of 2 minutes 9.27 seconds, and grabbed second place in the 200 backstroke at 2 minutes 7.82 seconds. Sophomore Jill Olson, from Seattle, claimed victory in the 1000 freestyle in a time of 10 minutes 38.43 seconds.

The Cougars, now 7-2 this season, conclude their two-day series against the Wolf Pack with another dual meet beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday.
