FRESNO, Calif. - For the second time in three days, rain forced the postponement of Washington State University's baseball games Friday at the Johnny Quik Classic, hosted by Fresno State University.
The Cougars were scheduled to play a Friday doubleheader against Binghamton and Gonzaga, but both games were postponed due to rain. WSU was scheduled to face Binghamton at 1 p.m. in a contest that was originally postponed Tuesday due to weather conditions. That game has now been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
The Cougars versus Gonzaga game, which was to be played at 4 p.m. Friday, has now been rescheduled as part of a Saturday Cougar doubleheader. WSU will face Gonzaga at 8 a.m. before squaring off against Miami (Ohio) at 11 a.m.
Saturday's contests will complete play for WSU at the Johnny Quik Classic. The Cougars enter Saturday's games with a 17-5 record, 2-1 at this week's tournament.
