Jon Reehoorn Posts Third Place Finish At US Intercollegiate

STANFORD, Calif. - Washington State senior Jon Reehoorn recorded a third place finish at the US Intercollegiate at the par-71 6,786 yard Stanford Golf Course, Sunday.

Reehoorn, who entered Sunday's final round tied for fourth, fired a one-under par 70 over the final 18 holes to complete the tournament at 211 (-2). It was Reehoorn's third consecutive top-five finish as the senior captured the Duck Invitational, March 26 and finished in fifth place at the Shocker Invitational, April 9.

Reehoorn led the Cougars to a fifth place finish in the 17-team field. The Cougars have now finished in the top-five in 11 of 12 tournaments during the 2001-02 season.

Sophomore Isaac Woods carded a third consecutive 73 to finish in 30th place with a 54-hole total of 219 (+6). Woods' sophomore counterpart, Ryan Camp, recovered from an opening 79 with rounds of 72 and 69 to finish tied for 33rd (220, +7). Junior Dustin White tied for 38th (221, +8).

The Cougars return to action at the Pacific-10 Conference Championships, April 25-27 at the Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Ore.
