ALEXANDER'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER

GENERAL: Earned varsity letters in three sports, including three in football, three in baseball for coach Tommy Bohannon and one in basketball...played third, short, outfield and pitched...linebacker in football...captained both the football and baseball (twice) teams. SOPHOMORE: After leading the freshman team to a 9-1 record as a quarterback, played both quarterback and safety with the varsity...hit .380 in baseball and was Turner's offensive player-of-the-year. JUNIOR: Moved to linebacker during the football season and was named the Lion's defensive Player-of-the-Year...hit .330 during the baseball season. SENIOR (2000-01): Had outstanding baseball season, hitting .492 while being named to the All-State team...also district 6-5A defensive player-of-the-year during football season.

FRESHMAN (2001-02): Attended the U.S. Naval Academy for one year to play football, but transferred to New Mexico Junior College after one year...did not play baseball at Navy.

RS-FRESHMAN (2002-03): Played a variety of positions for head coach Ray Birmingham's club, including catcher, first base, third base and pitcher...team captain...named NMJC Co-MVP...hit .409 with 11 homers and 55 runs batted in.

RS-SOPHOMORE (2003-04): Team captain...hit .391 in 161 at-bats...led the team in singles with 46...played catcher, first base, third base and pitcher.

ALEXANDER`S WASHINGTON STATE CAREER

JUNIOR (2004-05): Enrolled in August, 2004...V-Letter...Games - 17...Starts - 6...BA - 273...made three starts at first base and three at third base during late February and early March...season-high 10 putouts at Hawaii in his first start...also went 2-for-4 in that game and drove home two runs...in a start against Northern Colorado went 3-for-5, scored three runs and drove home two runs while collecting a double and a triple...made three mound appearances...threw 0.2 innings of relief against Southeastern Louisiana, allowing one run...against California pitched two innings in relief and allowed one hit and two runs while striking out three...final mound appearance came against Gonzaga when he recorded one out and didn't allow a hit.
